Nokia C21/Plus released: with metal frame and 6.5-inch display

IT House February 28 news, HMD in 2020 launched its first Nokia C series phones, the past 5 years, the series has accounted for 16% of the company's total smartphone sales, and now Nokia has launched the latest C series models - Nokia C21 and C21 Plus.

The Nokia C21 Plus has a metal frame that supports IP52 rated dust and water resistance, and a tempered glass protection on the display (brand unknown).

The machine features a 6.5-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 px (20:9), is running Android 11 Go, and will receive security patches quarterly for two years.

The phone is powered by the Unigroup SC9863A chipset (28nm, 8 Cortex-A55 cores @1.6GHz and PowerVR GE8322 GPU), supplemented by 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM plus 32GB or 64GB of storage, and has a microSD slot.

The machine features a 5-megapixel selfie camera for face unlocking, a fingerprint reader on the back, a 13-megapixel main camera with autofocus, plus a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an LED flash.

Interestingly, the C21 Plus comes in two versions, one with a 5050 mAh battery that offers three days of battery life, and the other that is lighter, with a battery capacity of 4000 mAh for two days, both of which have a 10W charger in the retail package (charged via the microUSB interface).

Nokia C21

The Nokia C21 is a more affordable version with the same 6.5-inch display (720 x 1,600 px) and metal frame and tempered glass. However, the phone does not have an official IP rating.

IT Home understands that the phone uses the same Unigroup Chipset, but the memory capacity choice is limited to 2GB or 3GB, the storage space is also 32GB or 64GB, and the dedicated microSD slot is the same as the 2-year security patch promise.

One of the main differences is the battery, the C21 only has a battery capacity of 3000 mAh, even 25% less than the low-capacity version of the C21 Plus. In addition, the machine only supports 5W charging (and comes with a 5W charger and microUSB cable).

The nokia C21's main camera has also been downgraded to 8 megapixels, but the selfie camera remains 5 megapixels, with both face and fingerprint unlocks.

Nokia C21 and C21 Plus are coming soon, and the official price and specific launch time have not yet been announced.
