BEIJING, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- On February 25, the Customs of the Capital Airport ushered in the peak of the arrival of winter Paralympic flights and athletes. According to the plan, a total of 12 flights and more than 500 people arrived at the capital airport on the same day, and it is expected that 13 flights and nearly 800 winter paralympic athletes and related personnel will arrive in Beijing on the 26th.

The reporter learned from Beijing Customs on the 25th that the customs relied on the construction of smart customs to develop a series of customs "black technology" equipment such as online "blind lanes" for visually impaired people, C-type bases that are convenient for wheelchair passengers to declare, and self-service declaration and verification machines for disabled passengers, bringing a more convenient customs clearance experience for winter Paralympic athletes.

"We have carefully investigated the needs of the visually impaired and developed differentiated service modules according to the different levels of the visually impaired. The web version of the health declaration has developed a font adjustment function for visually impaired passengers, which supports 2x magnification. Li Jinwei, deputy director of the Science and Technology Department of Beijing Customs, said that for passengers with color dyslexia, Beijing Customs has added the option of color display on the home page, which can be freely selected in the preset foreground scenery and background color.

In addition, Beijing Customs has added an automatic opening function for voice broadcast on the self-service declaration and verification all-in-one machine, reserves 2196 voice broadcast data in 12 languages to guide visually impaired athletes to successfully complete health declarations; for winter Paralympic athletes with limited mobility, Capital Airport Customs optimizes the intelligent temperature measurement and release channel, reduces the slope, and sets up a special ultra-wide channel for the disabled to make it more convenient for winter Paralympic athletes.

Yang Bo, deputy director of the Second Customs Travel Inspection Department of the Capital Airport, introduced that the customs fully considered the actual needs of winter Paralympic athletes, customized the C-type base for the self-service declaration and verification of disabled passengers, so that the wheelchair could smoothly enter the declaration position, and added an auxiliary table that can be lifted and lowered at the customs clearance site, and integrated the camera, scanner, printer and microphone equipment. Considering that the health declaration time of winter Paralympic athletes may be long, Beijing Customs is also equipped with 18 tablet computers at the airport customs clearance site to facilitate winter Paralympic athletes to make health declarations in the waiting area, achieving "easy declaration and fast customs clearance".

It is understood that in addition to the blessing of the "smart customs" scientific and technological equipment, the capital airport customs also organizes customs officers to carry out targeted training, and arranges special guidance at each customs clearance link and channel turn to provide one-on-one help for winter Paralympic athletes in need of help, assist in completing all customs clearance processes, and improve customs clearance experience.
