As of now, Apple has not announced a specific price for individual repairs to Face ID components.
But for the user, replacing individual accessories is obviously much more cost-effective than replacing the whole machine.

In the event of a water ingress accident, these holes will be blocked and Face ID will immediately fail.
At the same time, the outer layer of the dot matrix projector is sealed with resin and protected by metal welding technology.
These weld joints are very fragile, and once the phone falls or collides, causing these weld points to fall off, it will not be recovered.
In addition, the main function of the chip on the right side of the dot matrix projector is to provide power to Face ID.
Water ingress will cause a short circuit and may also cause Face ID not to work.
It can be seen that precision and fragility are a relatively accurate description of Face ID components.
At present, Apple is also making more breakthrough developments for this technology.
