Recently, there is news that Apple is upgrading the function of the AirPods Pro 2 generation of products, and may add a recognition function similar to FaceID in the AirPods Pro 2, but it is used to identify different ear canals.
This new feature is defined in the security function, by scanning the wearer's ear canal each time the headset is worn and identifying and matching the user, similar to FaceID recognizing face data, users with ear canal shapes that do not match will not be allowed to use the headset. Moreover, it has been reported that the AirPods Pro 2 can even monitor the user's walking gait to collect exercise data.
Many users may have a confused attitude towards this function, after all, as a headset product, does it need such a high standard of security protection?
