Kuo recently reported that the AirPods Pro 2 will feature a redesigned charging case that can emit sound for use with Find My. Through integration with Find My, only the AirPods themselves emit a sound when called upon by the user. In the new AirPods Pro 2, the case will have speakers that make a louder sound, making it easier to find.

In addition to the new case, the new AirPods Pro 2 will also support playback of lossless Apple Music audio. Due to Bluetooth bandwidth limitations, Apple's existing AirPods models cannot play lossless audio from Apple Music. In a recent interview, Apple executives acknowledged that Bluetooth's limitations hindered the potential of the AirPods experience and said the team wanted "more bandwidth" than Bluetooth itself could provide.
