IT Home reported on April 28 that Nothing launched the Nothing Ear / (a) wireless headphones this month, and the national version of the series of headphones has also been on sale, with prices of 699 yuan and 999 yuan respectively.
Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, recently posted on the X platform that it will bring significant improvements to the "transparency mode" of the series of headphones, but he did not give a specific timeline for the headset OTA, only saying that it will be available "soon".
According to reports, the Nothing Ear is an iteration of last year's Nothing Ear (2) headphones, equipped with 11mm dynamic drivers with ceramic diaphragms. Nothing also offers LHDC 5.0 and LDAC codec support, with an improved smart ANC algorithm that supposedly automatically checks for noise leaks and adjusts ANC accordingly.
Nothing brings more sound control with an advanced equalizer option on the official app, where users can make adjustments, and share them with friends. The Nothing Ear supports Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity for dual-device pairing, and also adds a new call microphone with Clear Voice technology for better voice pickup and clearer calls.
In addition, it is rated for 8.5 hours of battery life with ANC off (5.2 hours with ANC) and 40.5 hours with the charging case with wireless charging support. The product is available in black and white colors.
IT Home notes that the Nothing Ear (a) is a more affordable product that retains most of the key features of the Nothing Ear. With the exception of a custom EQ and a more advanced ceramic diaphragm, the rest of the specs are basically the same as the Nothing Ear, with a new yellow colorway.
The Nothing Ear (a) has 11mm dynamic drivers, ANC and LDAC support, and a battery life of 9.5 hours with ANC off (5.5 hours with ANC on) and up to 42.5 hours including the charging case, with wired charging only.
