「Product Price Comparison」
The de-icing shovel is a more traditional de-icing tool.
The de-icing bucket is a recently fried "net red product", and it is the most recommended to open a treasure.
De-icing agents are de-icing products that extend from the aviation field to the automotive supply field.
The de-icing principle of medical alcohol is the same as that of de-icing agents, so I added it to this test, after all, alcohol is available everywhere and is still very cheap.
"Snow Removal Time Test"
I did a windshield snow removal test on a snowscreen morning that snowpacked all night, and I divided the windshield with snow into 4 parts, and then used these 4 products in turn to remove the snow on the glass.
This traditional snow removal tool is still easy to use, and it took me 1 minute to clean up the snow on this windshield.
This shovel has two sides to use, is used can quickly shovel the snow off, the only problem is that if the snow is too thick, the shovel will appear slightly smaller, snow removal is still more laborious, snow sweeping speed may not be as fast as the hair duster...
After the actual experience of the net red de-icing bucket, I personally feel that there is no de-icing shovel that is easy to use... It took me 1 minute and 17 seconds to remove the snow from the glass.
The biggest reason I think is that the material of the de-icing bucket is too poor, although it is all plastic, but it is obviously softer and more brittle than the de-icing shovel, I don't even dare to push too hard, for fear of breaking it...
To be honest, I think these 2 products are really not helpful for snow removal, because in theory, as long as the wiper is not frozen, the bus can directly open the wiper to brush off the snow, so I directly skipped the snow removal test of these two.
"De-icing Effect Test"
Since my car was parked outdoors this winter, but the windshield couldn't freeze, I had to buy a model of the windshield, spray it in the fridge and freeze it overnight to make it freeze.
The grip of the de-icing bucket is not bad, but because the material is soft and hard, so its de-icing effect is not good, encounter the ice is thicker, to repeatedly scratch a few times, such a small piece of glass, I spent a full 1 minute and 11 seconds to clean the ice on the glass model.
The de-icing effect of the de-icing shovel was immediate, and with each stroke it scraped off the ice, and it took me 44 seconds to scrape off the ice on the windshield model.
Then I froze the windshield model again

After I sprayed de-icing agent and medical alcohol on the frozen windshield model at the same time, the ice began to melt at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Because their freezing points are relatively low and can be melted with water, the liquid freezing point after they melt is theoretically reduced, so that the ice can melt quickly.
But overall, de-icing agents melt ice faster than medical alcohol.
Snow removal and de-icing test conclusions:
Judging from the snow removal time and de-icing effect alone, I think the de-icing effect of de-icing agents and medical alcohol is not bad.
As a traditional snow removal tool, the de-icing shovel is still possible in the case of low snow.
The snow removal and de-icing effect of the "net red de-icing bucket" is the worst.
「Scope of Application」
(This is my personal subjective experience conclusion, for your reference only)
I think the scope of application of the de-icing shovel is quite extensive, and the snow, ice and frost on the basic windshield can be removed.
Especially de-icing, because its own plastic is relatively hard, the edge is relatively sharp, as long as a little force can shovel the ice on the surface of the glass, to achieve the effect of de-icing.
But it also has disadvantages, that is, the speed of snow removal is relatively slow, if the snow on the glass is very thick, then you have to stand in the cold wind in the winter to remove the snow for ten minutes, to be honest I am not willing.
I think it can only cope with snow and frost in car glass.
Because its material is softer, the edges are not sharp enough, and its operation method is to repeatedly scrape directly on the frozen glass, and it must use a lot of force to remove the ice on the glass surface.
If some car owners are born with divine power, they will directly break the glass...
These two de-icing products are more convenient to operate, directly sprayed on the frozen windshield, and then open the wiper to blow off the snow and ice, without standing in the cold wind like the de-icing bucket and the de-icing shovel.
And in addition to the windshield icing, the door handles are icy, and the windows are iced, which is also better than the de-icing shovel and de-icing bucket.
But de-icing agents and medical alcohol are also different, so I did a small experiment for you to see!
I melted two pieces of ice of the same quality, each with de-icing agent and medical alcohol, and then put them in a beaker and put them in the refrigerator for one night.
When I took out the beaker the next day to check it, the ice cube water melted with medical alcohol froze again, but the ice cube water melted by the de-icing agent did not freeze.
This shows that after de-icing with an ice remover, it can effectively prevent secondary ice formation for a certain period of time, but alcohol cannot. This is because alcohol volatilizes quickly, while de-icing agents do not, and its de-icing effect will persist for a short time.
Therefore, de-icing agents are more suitable for de-icing of windshields, while medical alcohol can be used for snow removal and de-icing in emergencies.
If you want to use it for a long time, I think it is better to remove the ice, after all, it is also a very dangerous thing to put a bottle of alcohol on the car.
