On the first day of Milan Fashion Week, Diesel returned to the catwalk for the Fall/Winter 2022 launch show on a huge industrial site on The Southern Suburbs of Milan.

Instant renewal and indulgence in life, this is diesel's purest philosophy. For Successful Living！

It was the first runway created by ghost designer Glenn Martens as creative director. There's no doubt that this was a sensational release and the ambition of Glenn Martens at Diesel.

Before the show, Glenn Martens prepared a series of ironic elements to warm up for his first run.

A "sexy lingerie" made of red edible candy is used as an invitation to create the spectacle of a UFO with the word "D" over major cities around the world, such as Paris, London, Hong Kong, New York, Venice, Los Angeles, and Dubai.

The runway setting is also very interesting, with 5 huge bouncy dolls in Diesel standing in the middle of the show, posing in various seductive poses on the red carpet.

Approximately 7-8 meters tall and 15-20 meters wide, each doll is made by 3D printing technology, then captured and collaged by the lens, and stored in 2D molds in 600 different images, with each statue's details and bevels come to life.

It's reminiscent of American singer Christina Aguilera's 2002 "Dirrty." In the song's music video, Christina Aguilera dances in sexy lingerie and miniskirt, subverting the image of a female singer in early 2000.

The runway was created by Berlin-based artist Niklas Bildstein Zaar, who collaborated with Kanye on the DONDA party. He created the runway, glenn Martens' keen touch on contemporary pop culture.

Glenn Martens hopes to put Diesel back on the tide through his own efforts.

At a time when Y2K STYLE is once again popular around the world, the brand not only reflects the popular culture of the time, but also promotes the development of popular culture in that era.

The Diesel Fall/Winter 2022 collection is divided into four chapters: Tannins, Functionality, Trends and Craftsmanship.

The design philosophy runs through the whole process, as evidenced by the pure attitude of returning to the pragmatic belt, the sexy charm of the hook-and-eye buckle, the playful pleasure of the wrong view case and the energy of asymmetrical design.

Blending a variety of materials to outline the fun of different textures between collision and contrast, each set of shapes is both casual and restrained.

For the first time, the series is made of fully recycled denim, cotton, and stretch cotton, using anhydrous indigo dyeing technology.

With the concept of "restoration", together with Tejidos Royo, an expert in the field of fabric sustainability, we have launched a new production line "Diesel Repair Denim".

Glenn Martens infuses Diesel with the consistent deconstruction of his designs.

The winding belt, which looks like only a rope of traction, is actually attached to the hidden belt, which gathers clever visual senses. In particular, the oversized denim belt that resembles a short skirt brings a sense of wasteland urban futurism.

Jeans are the essence of Diesel, and most of this season's denim designs are derived from the Diesel Library collection.

Diesel Library is a sustainable evergreen collection with denim apparel at its core: offering apparel products that are less frequently purchased but more durable. Launched since SS22, Glenn Martens has been around for the most unisex jeans, shirts, tops, skirts, shorts and more. Each season introduces new designs on the basis of keeping 50% of everything on the shelves.

In addition, Glenn Martens tried to coat Diesel's denim material to keep the jacket and trench coat structured and shiny, giving it a durable fit like leather.

Glenn Martens continues the SS22 series of Denim Misviews, expanding on the season around Diesel's denim DNA.

He transformed denim into something else, and turned other fabrics such as knitting and leather into a "denim look."

Destructive design of denim fabrics: holes, washed and worn, is the spontaneous action of young people in the Y2K era, and it is also the rebellion and self advocated by Diesel.

Glenn Martens upgraded it to a more complex process. The pullover piece was upcycled with denim elements in an attempt to create a "peeling" texture that would create a visual effect as if layers of poster stickers had been removed from the wall.

The eugen yarn has been upgraded to create a lightweight miniskirt with a bold design with long sleeves, low cut and off-the-shoulders.

The denim fabric is hand-cut and spliced into rings to create a coat with an artificial fur effect.

Glenn Martens brings the new diesel logo and brings it to everyone.

For example, a Diesel dress with the "D" logo on the chest. The bold use of metallic pink on the skirt is made from a coated knit fabric for a futuristic feel.

A metallic miniskirt and cardigan with hook-and-eye locks are also available, while the soft flocked ties and mini skirt are embellished with prints from diesel's collection.

This season also includes an upgraded sneaker Prototype CR with crossed laces that complement the ribbon pattern at the heel of women's high-heeled boots for a wrap-around visual effect.
