Dawu County is a relatively backward culture in the old Soviet District, and after Changzhong was assigned to Dawu, he always thought that he could do something. In October 1984, Chang Zhong found the then secretary of the youth league county party committee, and the two people hit it off. Immediately wrote a report to the county government, the county government agreed and allocated 500 yuan as a fund, in the name of the League Committee issued a "call for papers", by Chang Zhong wrote a "poster" on red paper and posted it at the key intersections of the city. At that time, although there were many viewers, it was strange that the "poster" was down for half a month, and only a few submitted works were received. Chang Zhong loved calligraphy deeply from his bones, almost falling into a rage. In the first few years of work, it was the period when the wind of learning Pang Zhonghua hard pen calligraphy was prevalent throughout the country, and the fire of calligraphy that ignited in my heart called for the torture of ideal values. In 1983, Chang Zhong made a special trip to Xinyang, Henan Province, where Pang Zhonghua was located, to visit him. The first time he had a long talk with Teacher Pang Zhonghua all night, it was Teacher Pang who gave him the sail of hard pen calligraphy. In 1984, he participated in the first national youth pen character competition held by Zhejiang Youth Magazine and won the second prize, and he returned a fan (prize) from Hangzhou, and also returned his confidence and strength. It is this understanding of the classics that at the age of 24, he was selected as the writer of the inscription erected in the name of the provincial party committee and the provincial government in the Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery of the Eyu Border Region, and the pure Ou Kai inscription made many people stop and appreciate.

Some people commented that Chang zhong's "book anger" was too strong, and the same was true for his thoughts. In 1986, after his calligraphy work won the first prize in the Beijing Chinese Character Hard Pen Calligraphy Competition, the editors of Tianjin Xinlei Publishing House found him and published the first "Pen Posters for Primary School Students", with a circulation of more than 150,000 copies and earned the first manuscript fee of 500 yuan. Publishing has reached its peak since 2003, with Wuhan Publishing House publishing a series of calligraphy posts by Liu Changzhong's hard pen. The pen fan characters in the experimental calligraphy textbook "Calligraphy Art" and "Writing" in the local primary schools in Henan Province were selected for his writing; The Shanghai People's Fine Arts Publishing House also published a set of 9 copies of the posters for him.
