1. Slack is down. On Tuesday morning, Slack, the office information system for some employees, was paralyzed, an incident that brought disaster (perhaps joy?) to employees across the country. For several hours, users had trouble sending and receiving messages, receiving notifications, and accessing desktop applications.

The salesforce-owned company serves more than 156,000 enterprise clients, including major agencies like Netflix and Uber.

According to user reports on Down Detector, there are also issues with AWS, Peloton, and Github. But the cause of these issues, and whether they are related to Slack's downtime, is unclear.

Employees immediately discussed the blackout on Twitter (because what else can we do in a time of crisis?) One user wrote: "If there is an outage, the law allows you to go back to sleep."

Slack fixed the issue a few hours later and attributed the downtime to a "configuration change" that caused a sudden increase in activity on its database infrastructure.

10. Sony has introduced a new VR headset for the Playstation. The PlayStation VR2, which will compete with Meta's Quest headphones, has some upgrades such as a lens adjustment dial, a new vent design, and a lighter weight.
