As soon as you enter the door of the library, the glass display cabinet in the center displays a number of copies of the "List of National Wuhan University" from the Republic of China period, and these yellowed scrolls record the early development of Wuhan University. Other display cases also contain lectures by professors of Wuhan University during the Republic of China period, manuscripts of famous teachers of Wuhan University before and after the founding of New China, etc. Many of them have undergone historical tests such as Wuhan University's westward relocation to Leshan to run a school, and it is not easy to preserve them to this day.

According to Teacher Song Denghan of the Library of Wuhan University, the earliest book in the Luojia Library that can be clearly dated should be a doctoral dissertation of a Wuhan University student, "De la répartition des compétences dans les constitutions fédérales", which was published by a Paris publishing house in 1920 with the author's signature. "There are also some collections that are published in an undeserved date, and there may be earlier ones." Song Denghan said.

According to reports, the Luojia Library is positioned as a combination of "collection, exhibition and use", comprehensive collection, key display, and both reading and use. Nine types of key bookshelf exhibition areas and 5 exhibition cabinets have been set up, including classic works such as Wuhan University Academic Series and Centennial Classics, award-winning works and excellent teaching materials over the years, as well as the writings of successive presidents, academicians of the two academies, senior professors, well-known scholars, and outstanding alumni, as well as precious materials such as academic series, old lecture notes and manuscripts published during the National Wuhan University period. Up to now, the library has a collection of 24,000 volumes, of which more than 360 people and more than 5,000 works have been exhibited.
The collection of books motivates future generations to study
The Jimu News reporter saw that in the exhibition area of the works of successive principals, a total of 62 books were exhibited by Li Da, one of the main founders of the Communist Party of China and one of the early leaders, and the largest number of exhibits was gu Hailiang, the former president, reaching 102. In the exhibition area of academicians' works, a total of 29 academicians of Wuhan University are exhibited, and Li Deren, the only academician of the "two academies" in Hubei, has 21 books in the collection, and the late academician Ning Jinsheng also has 21 books. Coming to the exhibition area of early works, Wen Yiduo, Ye Shengtao, Zhu Guangqian, Liu Yongji, Zhang Peigang... The resounding names make people feel the flourishing of Luojia's literary context, among which Wen Yiduo has the most books, reaching 123.

Luojia Library also has a special area for outstanding alumni works, with a total of 1230 books on display. Among them are the works of well-known writers such as Xiong Zhaozheng, Yi Zhongtian and Chi Li, as well as the works of famous entrepreneurs such as Mao Zhenhua and Yan Zhi. The Wuhan University Library said that it will continue to collect personal representative books from outstanding alumni in conjunction with the Alumni Association.
