16-18! That's the difference between Maxi and Harris, and the 76ers have the answer

The Philadelphia 76ers have had two All-Star players over the past few seasons, Joel Embiid being one of them, and the other All-Star player initially was Ben Simmons, but this season he was replaced by James Harden, and overall it's definitely a really good thing if a team has two All-Star players, and having three is even better.

The last time the 76ers had three All-Stars was back 35 years ago in the 1986-87 season, when they had Charles Barkley, Julius Irving and Maurice Cheeks, and it's clear that Embiid and Harden will be inducted into the All-Star race together many times, but if they want to be the best team in the league in the next season or two, they need a third All-Star. If that had happened, would it have been Tobias Harris or Teres Maxi?

If last season, the answer to that question would be simple, it could only be Harris, whose efficiency and scoring are close to All-Star level, averaging 18.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game this season. But maxi's sudden rise this season has made the answer to that question less obvious. Maxi looks like an All-Star when he's been the team's primary offensive choice this season, improving his shots, organization and defense, while still having room to grow, averaging 16.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.

Maxie also has a lot of potential to learn from MVP-level guards like Harden, who Harris has struggled with for most of the season and seems to have been at his peak last year, so Maxie has instead become a player who is more likely to be an All-Star.

16-18! That's the difference between Maxi and Harris, and the 76ers have the answer

When Harris is the team's third offensive option, he has proved that he can't be selected as an All-Star, the peak performance is the edge of the All-Star level, and Maxi still has a lot of room to develop, but the question is can he coexist with Harden? Ideally, though, Maxi and Harris should be the third and fourth choices on the offensive end of the team, respectively.
