Given Maxie's overall performance so far this season, the 76ers' abandonment of such a young player to push for a deal involving Beal would indeed satisfy the Wizards. But the problem is that Maxi is also a player who can help the 76ers enough on the offensive end, so it doesn't seem meaningful to send such a young player back to a scorer like Beal.
Not to mention that around Harden and Embiid, Maxi's scoring ability is enough to make the 76ers have a big enough threat on the offensive end.
