LOS ANGELES AND MUNICH, Feb. 17, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The 840i xDrive Gran Coupé limited edition has 99 units launched in close collaboration with Jeff Koons and BMW. With the 8 Series Jeff Koons art car, the most beautifully designed model in BMW's history will be presented to a global audience.

Only four cars are drawn a week. The interior is made of high-end materials and fine leather, and the cup holder lid is fitted with a limited edition badge and the artist's signature. The seats are red and blue, representing the color of the comic book world superheroes and BMW M. The colorful exploding lines are a tribute to the artist's 2010 BMW Art Car, and "POP! And the steam thrust image symbolizes the power and speed of the 8 Series Jeff Koons art car.
The 8 Series Jeff Koons art car will be on display at Rockefeller Square in Manhattan, followed by a car signed by Jeff Koons at Christie's in New York on April 4. All proceeds from the highest bid will be donated to the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC). Jeff Koons has been personally involved with this nonprofit NGO for more than 20 years.
