According to overseas media reports, the president of Michelin Tire North America said in an interview that Michelin hopes to install Uptis airless tires on the next generation of Chevrolet Bolt, which is expected to be achieved within three or five years.

This means that the new Chevrolet Bolt will be launched as soon as 2025, after Michelin has been using the Chevrolet Bolt for related testing work. As a reference, the Chevrolet Bolt EUV model was released in 2021 and is positioned higher than the Bolt model.
Michelin's Uptis airless tires, launched in 2019, date back 10 years and currently have 50 patents pending. It is mainly composed of glass fiber spokes, no side walls, anti-puncture and anti-wear is its biggest highlights. In addition to the Chevrolet Bolt, there is a MINI COOPER SE that has been carrying the tire for testing work.
