Gu Hongwei, male, Ph.D., is currently the vice chairman and president of Xiaopeng Automobile.
Prior to joining Sloping Motors, Mr. Gu served as Chairman of J.P. Morgan's Asia Pacific Investment Bank and a member of the J.P. Morgan and Global Strategy Advisory Committee. Prior to that, Mr. Gu served as head of JPMorgan Chase&A's Asia Pacific M&A practice and head of TMT.'s healthcare industry, as well as co-head of JPMorgan's China Investment Banking Department.
Gu Hongdi, whose English name is Brian, graduated from Yale with a master's degree in business administration, a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Washington School of Medicine, and a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Oregon. He spent six years in the Global M&A department of Lehman Brothers in New York, where he led numerous cross-border M&A transactions for well-known companies in North America, Europe and Asia.
In April 2004, he joined JPMorgan Chase& Co. In April 2007, he was promoted to Managing Director and is based in JPMorgan Chase & Co., Hong Kong office.
He joined Xiaopeng Motors in March 2018 as Vice Chairman and President, where he presided over the company's strategy, finance, investment and financing, and globalization.
