On the morning of February 17, under the overall organization of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, Ms. Zhou, who was close to the new crown pneumonia case and 38 weeks pregnant+ was quickly transferred to the Panyu Branch of the Second Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College for delivery. During the transport of pregnant women, Zhong Huimin, director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, led the team to work intensively to formulate a delivery plan, make a plan for emergencies, and quickly start the process of dealing with pregnant women suspected of new crown pneumonia.
Considering that Ms. Zhou had a history of vaginal delivery before, and there were no high risk factors in the past obstetric examination, and the fetus was also full-term, the medical staff decided to promote natural delivery, and at the same time make preparations for midwifery or caesarean section, and the negative pressure operating room was also opened at the same time to cope with the possibility of caesarean section at any time.
