Recently, the author went to Jiangxi Nanhao Food Co., Ltd. located in the Industrial Park of Le'an County to interview this "Mr. Goose" - Zhang Haitao. In the processing workshop, although the outdoor cold is attacking, the indoor is a hot production and processing scene, Zhang Haitao, wearing work clothes, is guiding the workers to process brine geese, and the workers are busy in an orderly manner, some give the goose skin, some give the white goose hair, and some are brine goose. Knowing that the author came to mind, Zhang Haitao put down his work and talked about his entrepreneurial story.
When I was a student, I started my career
Zhang Haitao, born in 1993, is a native of Zhangkeng Village, Nancun Township. Although his parents were not highly educated, they were active in the brains and began to do business in the grain and oil business as early as the 1990s. Due to his long-term experience, he has been very business-minded since he was a child and likes to do business. When he was still in high school, he used his vacation to follow his parents to buy and sell grain and oil, earning one or two thousand yuan a day.
In 2011, Zhang Haitao was admitted to Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics and chose his favorite marketing major. When he was in college, when many of his classmates indulged in playing games and playing mobile phones, he looked for business opportunities on campus and followed a senior to do phone card and FMCG sales, earning four or five thousand yuan a month. The business experience of the student era not only allowed him to taste the sweetness of business and accumulate certain business experience, but also further strengthened his dream of doing business and starting a business.
When he was a junior in college, Zhang Haitao resolutely made the first major decision in his life despite his parents' opposition: quit school and entered the society early to start entrepreneurial practice. Recalling the scene at that time, he said proudly: "At that time, I was young and vigorous, and I wanted to step into the society early to realize my entrepreneurial dream. ”
Go out and work hard for career love double harvest
In June 2013, Zhang Haitao, who had a dream of starting a business, dropped out of school and went to Dongguan to work hard. In the beginning, he worked as an assistant in a hotel owned by a friend. Because of his active mind, hard-working, rich marketing experience, he was deeply valued by his boss, and he was promoted from assistant to store manager step by step.
When he went out to make a successful career, the young Zhang Haitao also gained love. It turned out that on the train to Dongguan, his wife Huang Qun also went to Dongguan for an internship, just sitting opposite him. Huang Qun's appearance and temperament immediately attracted Zhang Haitao. Therefore, he boldly talked to Huang Qun and left contact information for each other. In this way, the two young men got to know each other. Subsequently, when they arrived in Dongguan, the two often contacted each other and loved each other. After more than half a year of interaction, the two were happily married. In June 2014, the eldest son was born soon after. Recalling his love story, Zhang Haitao could not suppress happiness and joy, and said excitedly: "The two of us are very lucky, a chance encounter on the train, it has achieved our love, it feels quite romantic." ”
Returning to his hometown to start a business has gone through ups and downs
The moon is the hometown of Ming, and the person is the hometown of the relatives. Because of his homesickness and the good entrepreneurial environment in the county, in June 2014, Zhang Haitao resolutely returned to his hometown with his newlywed wife and newborn son to start a business.
However, the road to entrepreneurship is not smooth, and Zhang Haitao, who had a smooth career love in the past few years, returned to his hometown to start a business but repeatedly failed, and fell into the trough of his life. In the first few years since he returned, he and his parents have opened a supermarket and worked as a hotel manager, but he is not satisfied with this, and decided to start his own business and break out of the world.
After the Spring Festival in 2017, Zhang Haitao and his friends co-founded the Le'an County Jinben Products Factory, which mainly produces and processes toilet paper and napkins. Due to the poor production technology and unfamiliarity with the market situation, the factory was closed at a loss within half a year.
After the failure of the first venture, Zhang Haitao continued to choose a suitable project to start a business despite the advice of his family. Through market research, he cooperated with people to sell probiotics and other fast moving consumer goods. In order to open up the sales market, he and his companions often went deep into the county shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels and townships to publicize and promote, and slowly opened the county market, and the sales performance also increased steadily.
However, the young and vigorous Zhang Haitao is not satisfied with small fights and small troubles, and is bent on making a lot of money. He and a pig breeder partnered to build a pig farm in the mountains, bought 80 fertile sows in one go, and started a "pig dream". However, the ideal is beautiful, the reality is cruel. Due to the poor pig breeding technology, the purchased sows were not vaccinated in time, resulting in the death of the piglets who were born. Coupled with the fact that it coincided with the epidemic of African swine fever, the pork market fell sharply, resulting in heavy losses in the pig farm, with a loss of more than 1 million yuan. To this end, he not only mortgaged a set of houses in the county to the bank to repay the debt, but also became heavily indebted.
Recalling the scene after the failure of three entrepreneurial attempts, Zhang Haitao said with a bitter smile: "At that time, the blame and complaints of my family, the avoidance of ridicule by relatives and friends, and the huge pressure of life all overwhelmed me. But, I know, I have no way back, I can't fall, I have to be strong, I'm still young, I'm going to fight a battle, make a comeback, break a path. ”
Determined to break out of a new world
Zhang Haitao firmly believes that when God closes a door for you, he will definitely open a window for you. In the case of desperation, he did not give up his entrepreneurial dream, but calmly adjusted for a period of time at home and reflected on the lessons of these several entrepreneurial failures.
The family has a lot of money, it is better to have a skill. After market research, Zhang Haitao resolutely decided to go to other places to learn brine goose making technology. After returning from his studies, he learned his lesson, borrowed 50,000 yuan from relatives and friends, purchased some processing equipment, rented a garage of more than 10 square meters as a venue, and began to process and make brine geese.
It's hard at first. At first, due to technical instability, the processed brine goose did not meet the tastes of the locals and could not be sold. Therefore, he went to other places again to learn from the experience, after repeated practice and exploration, the processing and production technology gradually matured, the taste is also very suitable for the locals, the product slowly won the favor of many consumers, and the market sales improved. Subsequently, he expanded the scale of production, established Jiangxi Nanhao Food Co., Ltd., registered the "Ganliu Pit" trademark, the product was renamed "Le'an Gong Goose", and designed a beautiful packaging gift box, which greatly improved the product grade. In order to expand sales, he adopted the "online + offline" two models, vigorously developed e-commerce, and expanded the sales of products to surrounding cities and counties. In 2021, the company's annual sales exceeded 8 million yuan, and it has led a number of farms and slaughterhouses to participate in it, becoming a well-known "Mr. Goose" in the county.
Repay the society to help rural revitalization
Nowadays, Zhang Haitao relies on the processing and production of "Le An Gong Goose" not only to pay off all the loans, but also to buy 2 new houses, buy a car, and gradually improve his life. But he often said that it is not a big deal for one person to get rich, the key is to drive more people to get rich. He not only placed 8 employees for employment, but also prepared to set up a white goose breeding cooperative to promote the industrial chain model of "breeding goose breeding, egg hatching, meat goose slaughtering and processing", and help drive the surrounding masses to develop the goose industry to increase income.
Zhang Haitao is also full of love and enthusiastic about social welfare undertakings. In recent years, although it is difficult for him to start a business, he often sponsors students in difficulty, cares for and comforts sanitation workers, actively participates in various social welfare charities, and repays the society.
Talking about the next development plan, Zhang Haitao said with confidence: "In 2022, the company will relocate to the county food industrial park, further improve production conditions, expand production scale, update production equipment, improve production efficiency, actively dock various e-commerce platforms, expand sales channels, sell Le'an Gong goose to all parts of the country, and demonstrate and drive the vast number of farmers in the county to increase their income and become rich, and contribute to rural revitalization."
