In recent years, Yongren County, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, has used the unique solar thermal resources to develop the photovoltaic industry, and has driven the employment of surrounding villagers and the collective income of the village by introducing large enterprises to build photovoltaic power plants on barren mountains and barren slopes. At present, the county has built 4 centralized photovoltaic power plants and 108 distributed grid-connected photovoltaic power plants, achieving an output value of more than 1.6 billion yuan.
