From July 16 to 17, 2021, the 16th National Collegiate Intelligent Car Competition East China Division and the First Guangyou Cup Intelligent Car Competition, hosted by the Society of Automation of China and hosted by the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, was held in Shanghai as scheduled. With the rapid development of automotive electronics as the background, the competition covers the interdisciplinary scientific and technological creativity competition of control, pattern recognition, sensing technology, electronics, electrical, computer, mechanical and other disciplines, aiming to cultivate college students' grasp of knowledge and innovation ability, as well as the ability to engage in scientific research.
Zhang Hua, Vice President of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, attended the opening ceremony of the event and delivered a speech.
The competition was officially launched from the beginning of April this year, lasted for four months, and a total of 325 teams from 73 universities and universities in East China registered, with a total of more than 1,000 participants.
The participating teams adhered to the spirit of excellence, pioneering and innovative, and working together to pursue their dreams, showing a new force full of passion and vitality. After intense competition, a total of 60 first-prize teams such as the Rice Saturation Team of Changshu Institute of Technology and 67 second-prize teams from Nantong University were selected.
With the purpose of strengthening the cultivation of college students' practice, innovation ability and team spirit, and with the guiding ideology of "basing on training, focusing on participation, encouraging exploration, and pursuing excellence", this competition carries out exploratory engineering practice activities for college students across the country, further promotes colleges and universities to strengthen the cultivation of students' innovative spirit, collaborative spirit and engineering practice ability, improves students' ability to solve practical problems, and creates conditions for outstanding talents to stand out.
