Cyberpunk 2077 quietly abandons support for Win7 and 700 series graphics cards

Recently, CDPR released the "Cyberpunk 2077" version 1.5 update, the patch size is about 50GB. This update includes several improvements to the game, numerous missions and gameplay fixes, and the addition of several free DLC. In addition to that, it contains next-generation updates.

After the release of the new update, the PC configuration requirements of Cyberpunk 2077 have also changed, and the game quietly abandons support for Win7 and NVIDIA 700 series graphics cards. Officially, after the 1.5 update, cyberpunk 2077 will stop supporting Nvidia 700 series graphics cards and change the graphics card requirements in the minimum configuration to GTX 970 because the graphics card driver is no longer supported. After the update, CDPR will stop testing on 700 series graphics cards, and users can still run games with this series of graphics cards, but stability cannot be guaranteed.

In addition, CDPR also said that due to the technical limitations of the non-native Direct X 12 on Win7, as well as the limitation or end of graphics driver support, Cyberpunk 2077 will no longer support Win7 after June 15. Running the game with the system after that may result in a crash or other problems.
