The all-aluminum bonding platform has the advantages of high stiffness, light weight, high performance and environmental protection. However, this technology has previously experienced the challenge of quality stability in mass production. To this end, polestar UK R & D team has developed a new set of manufacturing processes to completely solve this problem, so as to achieve body and platform integration.
Thanks to the new technology and materials, the Polestar 5 is expected to weigh less than its smaller class of cars in-white, maximizing range, drive efficiency and vehicle dynamic response on the basis of ensuring safety indicators. In addition, the all-aluminum bonding platform will also lead to faster development time, platform strength and higher quality.
Based on the all-aluminum bonding platform, the four-door coupe Polar star 5 will far exceed the traditional two-door sports car in terms of body torsional stiffness. Polaris' latest manufacturing process can integrate the body and platform, which not only accelerates the development progress of Polarin 5 but also shortens the development time.
