After the fifth day of the first lunar month every year, Liu Qinglin, a craftsman in Xiliu South Village, enters the busiest season. In her home, she and the villagers sat around making this year's paper lanterns, and all kinds of tools for making lanterns were placed on the ground and in the corners.
"Lantern making is not simple, it requires everyone to 'go to battle' and divide labor and cooperate." Liu Qinglin told reporters, "I am responsible for making paper flowers decorated with lanterns, and now I am tying flowers to make the flower lanterns more beautiful." She took a wad of cut red paper, folded and twisted, and the "red flowers" were basically formed.
