Is the fetus about to give birth?

When I was consulted by the fetal supervision, I met several pregnant mothers who asked: Doctor, I feel as if the baby is in the basin, is it going to give birth? Do I want to go to the hospital right now?

So what is a pot?

The professional saying of fetal head into the basin refers to the double top diameter of the fetal head reaching below the pelvic entrance of the mother, which is commensurate with the fetal head and the bone, so it is called "fetal head into the basin".

Is the fetus about to give birth?

In fact, the fetus into the pelvis does not mean that it will give birth immediately, into the pelvis means that the baby's head has entered the pelvic bone, generally the first time the mother into the pelvis 2 to 3 weeks after the birth may be delivered. Transvamped mothers who have given birth to a child often begin labor immediately after entering the pothole.

The pot is also divided into half and full into:

Halfway into the basin, you will have to wait, and the fetal head may still float out.

Some pregnant mothers into the basin is half into the basin, it is not so fast, the fetus will continue to enter the basin, in this case it is best to go to the hospital to check it, if necessary, it may also be hospitalized.

Generally speaking, what we call into the basin is full entry.

For first-time women, the fetus enters the pelvis one or two weeks early, the uterine sensitivity increases, and irregular uterine contractions occur, which is a practice for childbirth. Entering the pelvis is only a superficial possibility of vaginal delivery, and the first step in the delivery process has been completed in preparation for the birth of the fetus. At this time, you need to prepare the bag for delivery.

Is the fetus about to give birth?

There are many pregnant mothers who do not know whether the fetus is in the basin and will ask such questions:

When will the baby be in the pot?

First-time women generally enter the pelvis at 36-38 weeks, but some women do not enter the pelvis until they are about to give birth. If the doctor determines that the pregnant woman has no head basin, the pregnant woman does not have to pay too much attention, and some of the fetal head into the basin time of the first pregnant woman is after the contraction is launched.

If it is a menstrual mother, it will be later, generally before giving birth.

Is there any special feeling after entering the basin?

Pregnant mothers will feel their big belly go down, obviously feel that the uterine floor has declined; will feel that the stomach is not against the stomach and lungs, breathing smoothly, appetite is much better.

Is the fetus about to give birth?

After entering the basin, pregnant mothers will also have some normal physiological phenomena:

U Because the fetus enters the basin, the uterus will fall, the bladder and intestines will be further squeezed, and frequent urination will occur, at this time, do not hold back, go to the toilet in time. Constipation will also occur, eat a reasonable diet, and exercise appropriately.

After the fetus enters the basin, the symptoms of pseudo-contractions will become more and more obvious, this contraction is irregular, the stomach will be tight and hard, sometimes there will be a feeling of falling, generally at night will be more obvious, and the change of position will usually subside. When you find that your stomach is tight and hard, and you feel obvious pain in your stomach, the interval is about 5-7 minutes, and the duration of each contraction is more than 30 seconds. You should go to the hospital immediately, it may be that the baby is about to give birth.

Of course, not all fetuses will enter the basin, which is inseparable from the baby's fetal position, only the head position can enter the basin, and the hip position or transverse position is impossible to enter the basin.

In addition, the fetal head may not always be able to enter the pelvis downwards: the pelvis is not correct, and when the fetal head and the pelvis are asymmetrical, they cannot enter the pelvis.

In the face of the delay in the fetus into the basin, pregnant mothers do not have to worry too much.

When the pelvic and fetal conditions of pregnant women are normal, they should cooperate closely with the doctor, and the fetal head will also be deformed into the pelvis due to the squeezing of the uterine contraction after childbirth, so that the vagina can still be delivered smoothly.

If the examination reveals that the fetus is not in the pelvis for pathological reasons, prepare for caesarean section.

Premature rupture of membranes and amniotic fluid may occur if the fetus does not enter the pelvis, in which case the bed should be lying down and the hips should be raised and immediately sent to the hospital to avoid umbilical cord prolapse and accidents in the fetus.
