The Lantern Festival, also known as the "Shangyuan Festival", is an auspicious god enshrined in the folk to bless the Heavenly Officials. The Tianguan in the New Year painting has a kind face, wearing an official hat, a red robe and jade belt, one hand to support Ruyi, the other hand to cover the long hair, graceful and luxurious, joyful.
Legend has it that Shangyuan Festival is the birthday of the Blessed Heavenly Official. The earliest Taoist deity "Three Yuan Emperor", that is, "one product blessed Heavenly Official, two products forgive sins of the earth official, three products to relieve the water official", the three officials of the emperor is the heaven, earth, water "three officials", corresponding to the three traditional festivals of the upper yuan, the middle yuan, and the lower yuan, respectively, this belief stems from the ancient Chinese nature worship of heaven, earth and water.

Later, there was a huge flood, and the land of Kyushu was a vast ocean. Yao also ordered Yu to cure the water, and it took 13 years to finally eliminate the flood.
