The redesigned iMac Pro with mini-LED may be released in June

February 15 news, analyst Ross Young recently mentioned that Apple's iMac Pro equipped with a mini-LED display may be released in June this year. Apple has been working on a large-screen version of the iMac for months, and if the June timeline is accurate, it could make its debut at this year's WWDC.

Previous news suggested that the new iMac model could launch in the spring, but Young said in mid-to-late January that he expected the product to launch in the "summer." It's important to note that young announced at the time that panel shipments were expected to start in June and might be launched in August or September, but he mentioned that Apple seemed to have moved the schedule a little earlier.

The 27-inch iMac will be sold alongside the 24-inch iMac, and in order to align it with the MacBook Pro, it may continue to use the iMac Pro's name as a high-end version. The iMac Pro with mini-LED backlighting is expected to have about 1,000 brightness zones and more than 4,000 mini-LEDs.

In addition to the mini-LED display, the iMac Pro is expected to introduce a freshly designed look and feel and take on the same M1 Pro and M1 Max chips found in the 2021 MacBook Pro model.

According to the current news, the iMac Pro, Mac mini and even Mac Pro equipped with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips are likely to appear in WWDC in June or even next month.

The reason is that the products including the iMac Pro and Mac Pro are currently Apple's Mac product line with no self-developed chips, and another point is that Apple will most likely release a newly designed MacBook Air equipped with M2 chips this fall.
