According to the latest news, Apple's iMac Pro with a Mini-LED display could launch in June. Apple has been working on a large-screen version of the iMac for months, and if the June timeline is accurate, it could make its debut at the Global Developers Conference.
Previous news suggested the new iMac could launch in the spring, but Young said in late January that he expected the product to launch "in the summer." It's important to note that young at the time announced that panel shipments were expected to start in June and could be launched in August or September, but he appeared to have moved the schedule ahead.
The 27-inch iMac will be sold alongside the 24-inch iMac, and in order to align it with the MacBook Pro, it could be called the iMac Pro as a high-end version. The iMac Pro with mini LED backlighting is expected to have "about 1,000 brightness zones" and "more than 4,000 mini LEDs."
In addition to the Mini-LED display, the iMac Pro is expected to introduce the redesigned look and feel and the same M1 Pro and M1 Max chips as in the 2021 MacBook Pro model.

The M1 uses an 8-core CPU and comes with a 7-core or 8-core on-board GPU. The upgraded M1 Pro uses an 8-core or 10-core CPU, while the highest-end M1 Max uses a 10-core CPU, but Max does differentiate itself with a higher level of memory support and more GPU cores than pro, so it makes sense that the new chip may have 2-10 cores.
