JetBrains announced that the IntelliJ platform will completely retire log4j components

On February 14, JetBrains reportedly announced on the official blog that it would remove the Log4j component from the IntelliJ platform, in part due to previous major vulnerabilities.

According to reports, the IntelliJ platform-based IDE is not affected by this vulnerability, because a patched version of Log4j 1.2 is used and all network-related code is removed. Still, some automated security tools flag secure versions of Log4j as unsafe.

It is reported that the changes will be released in the 2022.1 version.
