Since childhood, I have learned an idiom - "fox fake tiger will", if this is placed in the traditional alliance system of the United States, it generally means that the allies of the United States bully the strong national strength of the United States, especially the armed forces, and then go around the world to carry out military intervention and even direct invasion of other small and weak countries, the most typical of which is NATO; but at present, under the current anti-China framework in Washington, the United States seems to have reversed the interpretation of this idiom, and gradually has the trend of "tiger fake fox power". This new system of U.S. alliances, such as "Ocus," and the current U.S.-Japan alliance, are among them.
According to the Observer Network, Fumio Kishida, president of Japan's Liberal Democratic Party, has been officially elected as the country's 100th prime minister. On the day of the election, US President Joe Biden sent a congratulatory message to Kishida Fumio, in addition to the courtesy greeting, he talked about the US-Japan alliance, and then claimed to apply the Diaoyu Islands to the scope of the "US-Japan Security Treaty".
Obviously, Biden's current visit is not a general congratulatory message, but blatantly mixed "anti-China" as a private goods. Needless to say, diaoyu dao has been China's undisputed territory since ancient times, and now China has exercised actual control over the island and its affiliated islands and waters. The meaning of Biden's words is almost clear to the Japanese side, if Japan launches a dispute or even conflict around the Diaoyu Islands to the Chinese side, the United States will rely on the "US-Japan Security Treaty" to fulfill its support obligations to Japan.
In connection with recent events, the Japanese side has repeatedly made remarks related to Taiwan and the Diaoyu Islands, and has released the wrong signal of being tough on China, and has repeatedly used the "Japan-US alliance" as a pretext in its rhetoric. It is particularly noteworthy that the Izumo of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force is currently undergoing tests of the F-35B carrier-based aircraft, and the US military base in Japan is the provider of this model. It is also reported that the 42 F-35Bs purchased by Japan will all be installed within about 2022. This shows that in order to realize its anti-China containment strategy, the United States has completely disregarded the international order and international morality and wanted to help Japan, a country that is not qualified to possess strategic weapons and equipment, realize its dream of an aircraft carrier.
It can be seen from the above information that in the "Indo-Pacific strategy" created by the United States, in the strategic direction of East Asia, Japan has set iron as a core in the US alliance system. The other core of the US "Indo-Pacific" alliance system should be Australia in the South Pacific.
In the middle of last month, after a long period of conspiracy, the Biden administration finally joined forces with Britain to form an "Augustus" tripartite alliance with the Morrison government in Australia. Of course, this "triangle relationship" is divided into priorities, the United States is the main promoter of the alliance, Australia is the main target of the alliance, the United States and Australia are the main, the United Kingdom is the secondary. In the words of French President Emmanuel Macron, Britain is just the "fifth wheel" of the car.
In the "Ocus" alliance, Australia will gradually have a fleet of nuclear-powered submarines with the help of the United States and Britain. In this regard, the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom have indeed not stated that they are going to use it against China, but what does Australia really want to protect? In the middle of Australia's lonely sea, is there enough for the continent to threaten Australia's strong enemies? Needless to say, the United States wants to strengthen its force against Australia to use to contain China in the direction of the South Pacific.
Judging from the actual performance of the United States, it can already be seen that Japan and Australia, one in East Asia and the other in the South Pacific, are being absorbed by the United States in an attempt to form a strategic containment posture against China in an attempt to form a corner.
In the Biden administration's vision, to form a circle of encirclement of China in the Indo-Pacific region, of course, can not rely on Japan and Australia alone, just at the end of September, the leaders of the four countries of the United States, Japan, India and Australia worked tirelessly and despite the threat of the epidemic, specially held an offline so-called "four-party security dialogue" to strengthen this highly anti-China four-country mechanism. In July and August, the US Secretary of Defense, Deputy Secretary of State, Vice President and other senior US officials visited Southeast Asia like a marquee, and they also did not deviate from the "free and open Indo-Pacific", saying that they would join against China, as if China had made the Indo-Pacific region less "free and open".
Various examples show that the United States is indeed quite restless and is forming gangs all over the world to build "Indo-Pacific" anti-China barriers. Is it really useful for the Biden administration to be so whiny and so painstaking? Usefulness is estimated, but not necessarily much.
In East Asia, Japan is indeed deeply hostile to China and does not want to see China rise and cause trouble for China, but Japan also has a small calculation - nothing more than to use the power of the United States to expand strategic force and seek national normalization. At the end of the day, the United States and Japan are only mutually exploitative. As long as China does a good job in developing in a down-to-earth manner and strengthens its national defense strength, Japan will never dare to obey the orders of the United States and act rashly against China, and at best it will only dare to make small disturbances and make gestures.
As for Australia, it is indeed willing to be a pawn of the United States. But so what? How many pounds are there? Its national strength is there, even in the export of iron ore, coal and other resources, has certain advantages, but with the global accelerated layout of China's energy resources, as well as the implementation of a series of domestic energy conservation and emission reduction measures, it is basically not used in Australia. As for submarines, decades later, australia has cobbled together a fleet of nuclear-powered submarines, and will it really pose a substantial threat to China? It is hard to imagine that after such a long time, a fleet far away in the South Pacific, China will still look at it.
And then there's India. Although the country has been included in the Indo-Pacific quad-country mechanism by the United States, it has a strong sense of being pulled in, and India's speculative decision is that the country cannot stand in the same camp as the United States and oppose China very ironically, but has its own careful thinking, and it is a typical country that "takes people's money and eliminates disasters with people". If the benefits given by the United States are not enough, I believe that this country, which prides itself on being a "great power with sound and color", will not be driven by the White House in vain.
And, of course, the traditional circle of allies of the United States, NATO. The main composition of NATO is in Europe, and this time the European leader France is heartbroken by the "Augustus" incident. Moreover, Europe has been in the same bed with the United States, and the sense of trust between Europe and the United States is getting thinner and thinner, and at most it plays a role of waving the flag and shouting. As for Southeast Asia, not to mention, the close economic and trade relationship between China and ASEAN cannot be easily shaken, otherwise the US vice president would not have returned from Singapore and Vietnam.
To a large extent, the more the United States stirs up dissension and gangs around the world, the more it shows its lack of confidence and strength. Moreover, the crisis of debt, inflation rate, supply chain and other crises in the United States is imminent, and for these problems, the Biden administration is not sure of any problems, and is currently planning to let China help.
Today, the United States is in an extremely contradictory situation, not only to do its best to maintain its global hegemonic status, to limit and suppress China's development, and to strategically encircle China, but first, because of its lack of strength, it is exhausted when competing with China; second, it is in urgent need of turning to China for help, and the embarrassment is self-evident. Therefore, we had to hand out an olive branch to China while using the power of our allies to engage in confrontation. Figuratively speaking, the paper tiger of the United States has really become less and less prestigious, and it has to rely on the "fox power" of its allies in the anti-China rough way.
Today, both the time and the situation are on China's side. As long as China strives to develop itself, responds to changes with no change, calmly copes, and is not led by the nose of the United States strategically, the anti-China camp of the United States will eventually be self-defeating.
