In the morning light, in the cloud-shrouded Chongming countryside, far away you can see a unique white house, and the "CitySide Forest House" homestay is independent among the surrounding houses.
Mr. Xue, the owner of the homestay, is an interior designer and one of the top ten outstanding young designers in Shanghai. He told Yu Yu that he came to Chongming for a holiday by chance, and he was attracted to a small island with its own fairy atmosphere, and when he first thought about it, he wanted to have a house of his dreams here.
As a designer, he has always played the role of a "magician", creating other people's dreams about the house, and this time he decided to build a dream hut for himself. Thus the island's first Mediterranean homestay, the "Cityside Forest House", was born.
And how can it be that only Mr. Xue is the one who fell in love at first sight?
In the distance is a field cherry forest, and at the end is the Chongming family. The blue and white color combination of the building is inevitably reminiscent of the blue sky and white clouds. The log-colored fence is intimate and mysterious, revealing the outline of the building, which can't help but make people wonder what kind of good scenery is hidden inside the fence.
The original vitality released by the lush grass and trees is much more pleasant than the cold reinforced concrete, and many people who pass by, far away, only a quick glance, fall in love with this unique house.
The moment I stepped into the courtyard, I was even more fascinated by this different style.
Pushing away the white fence with flowers, the smooth lines of the Mediterranean style, and the design of the blank wall give people a clear and transparent feeling. The roof is partially glazed, and when the weather is good, the sun penetrates and dapples the walls, with a sense of leisurely slowness.
The hall on the first floor is rustic retro, full of contemplation and the smell of human fireworks. The green plants falling on the roof are the lights that create an atmosphere at night, and the white rattan tables and chairs still stand with a festive atmosphere, board games, billiards, game consoles, I don't know how many people's laughter. Look carefully, and there are many warm and cute little objects.
Looking further ahead, the feeling of the countryside is more intense, the green wallpaper and flowers complement each other, both exotic and substitute and rural side of Chongming, Mr. Xue, as a master of "mixing and matching the world", integrates these just right. At this time, if you serve a cup of aromatic coffee made by professional machines, are you also intoxicated?
The popular "pretend to be abroad series" in the circle of friends can be easily obtained in the pool area of the homestay. After Mr. Xue's renovation, the pond that had been abandoned for a long time in the old house was reborn as a resort pool and injected new vitality.
The arched door openings and retro wall lamps commonly used in the Mediterranean style, the different shapes and textures constantly burst out new chemical reactions, showing a charming resort atmosphere, comfortable and exquisite. There is no time to go "far away", here you can also imagine the Côte d'Azur of the Mediterranean, the blue-purple aroma of lavender wafting from the south of France, the rich colors of the deserts and rocks endemic to North Africa...

The two-storey building has a total of 7 rooms, and 3 types of rooms can be chosen. The names of the rooms are very good: stargazing, maple viewing, moon watching... Each name has a small design idea, the name of the room is the landscape, and the living is what you see. Each window is bright enough to allow you to see as much as possible outside, and if you live on the first floor, push it open to the pool light.
In the design of the room, the walls are largely white, the Roman column-like decorative lines are simple and bright, the metal wire frame and stained glass are embellished, and the moderate magnificence adds brightness, while the wooden furniture enhances the overall temperament of the house. Ceiling fans, murals, window curtains... Every detail is full of European charm.
Mr. Xue told us that the scenery here throughout the year is also very beautiful, with fragrant osmanthus flowers, red maple leaves, golden rice paddies, and the flavor of the courtyard. Especially in the spring, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, looking out from the balcony on the second floor, you can see the Mediterranean holiday wind in front of you, and the misty pink in the distance is romantic.
Confined to the day and night kitchen and love are from the mountains, lakes and seas, in addition to the clean and tidy kitchen, the homestay also has a large earth stove painted with Chongming characteristic stove flowers, just a simple farmhouse dish, but also because of the good day of the time and become extraordinary, there are wine and songs and friends, everything is just right.
