Eduardo Freitas could be Michael Masi's successor. It was announced by Spanish Formula One journalist Albert Fabrega in a new tweet.

The FIA is investigating the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and although the results won't be announced until March 18, the handling of event director Masi appears to be on the nail in the coffin. While some paddock people are protecting him, the FIA has also frankly acknowledged that other options are being considered.

In addition to Eduardo Freitas, another option would be Freitas. Freitas has been WEC's tournament director for many years.
