HAPPY NEW YEAR
As a staff member of the editorial department of Baiwei Nianhua, the main job of the usual work is to collect and write life stories. After the Spring Festival holiday, the writing task in the work project was suspended, so I used pen and ink to record my own story. My husband said I was infected with an "occupational disease", but I was glad that I had developed good professional habits. Here's a story of our own holiday:
During this year's Spring Festival holiday, in response to Tianjin's call for "non-essential non-essential staying during the epidemic", neither our family nor the two upstairs neighbors returned to their hometowns for the New Year. After reaching an agreement, all three listed the food menus they wanted to make in the WeChat group, and then each took action. Men are responsible for supermarket purchases, while women are reading little red books to learn, while preparing to "contribute" their housekeeping skills. According to traditional Chinese customs, I want to eat spring cakes during the Spring Festival, and I, from the hometown of pasta in Shanxi, was recommended by everyone to make this staple food, and I remotely invited my mother as an off-site guide to complete this challenge. Upstairs, Sai Jie used fruits and vegetables to make super high-value "blossoming rich", "golden jade full hall", "auspicious three treasures" and "bean skin vegetable rolls"; Teacher Li contributed the dried fried small white mushrooms and yellow croaker, as well as the shredded meat with Beijing sauce that is no less than the level of the restaurant. The men are not to be outdone, some cut a plate of radish, green onions, lettuce "all green burrito filling", some fried garlic broccoli, and some made tempeh oil wheat vegetables, the three fathers' "joint" works, named " only this green". Looking at the table full of food, color, aroma, taste are complete, the women's works are slightly better in terms of ingredient selection, presentation and taste, although the men's works are "single color" and "rough appearance", but also very buckle the theme of the "Lichun" season, everyone toasts and drinks, and they are happy and harmonious.
With the countdown to the 24 solar terms at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, a feeling of spring returning to the earth came to the face. This strong traditional Chinese 24 solar terms creativity, coupled with our table of traditional Chinese style cuisine, is a visual and taste feast. "Blossoming rich and noble" represents people's yearning for a happy life, wealth and nobility, "Jinyu Mantang" represents everyone's desire for wealth and knowledge in the new year, "auspicious three treasures" represents the harmony and happiness of several families of three, which are very beautiful words in traditional culture, "only this green" is to express the appreciation of the "Only This Green" dance program that exploded at the Spring Festival Gala with the hands of the people, and also expressed our admiration for the traditional Chinese national style picture scroll "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains"...
In a joyful and festive atmosphere, winter has passed and spring has arrived. The gathering of three families in our neighborhood is a microcosm of the tens of millions of Chinese families during the Chinese New Year. We hope that with the return of spring to the land, the epidemic will dissipate, the Winter Olympics will be a complete success, the people will be happy and healthy, and the country will prosper.
