In the play, the actor who plays the male protagonist "Exhibition Roll" is Xie Suhao, a young dancer and musical theater actor from China Oriental Performing Arts Group. On April 12, Xie Suhao gave an exclusive interview to Cover News to talk about his understanding of dance.

Born in Xinjiang in 1994, Xie Suhao began to be exposed to dance at the age of 5 and was admitted to the classical dance department of the Beijing Dance Academy at the age of 16. After graduating from undergraduate, 20-year-old Xie Suhao was admitted to the China Oriental Song and Dance Troupe and became a dancer. He loves singing and is also a musical theater actor. His representative works include the musical theater "Our Love Story", the musical "Bird's Nest Attraction" dance drama "Only This Green" TV series "Northern Wei Feng Empress" and so on.
In January 2021, the dance poetry drama "Only This Green" announced the establishment of the group, and Xie Suhao officially met the "Exhibition Volume People". "I have always felt that my professional dance ability is not particularly outstanding, but I am very lucky, especially grateful to the two directors Zhou Liya and Han Zhen for their trust in me, who chose to give me this opportunity, they are willing to give me time to work hard, and they are willing to give me this kind of actor who is eager to become excellent a chance to change himself." When the opportunity comes, if you want to seize it, you must continue to overcome difficulties. Xie Suhao admitted that when he first started rehearsing, he was under a lot of pressure. "At the beginning, it was completely unable to meet the requirements of the director, and I could only keep polishing and polishing, and slowly find the connotation given by the director to this role."

"Only This Green" takes the Northern Song Dynasty's green landscape peak work "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" collected in the Palace Museum as the background for creation, with time as the main axis, "green" as the visual main color, through the cross-border integration of dance, painting and other art disciplines, showing the beauty of classical Chinese art and the atmosphere of the times of excellent traditional culture. In Xie Suhao's view, "the 'exhibition person' is not only the image of a researcher of literature and bo, but also shoulders a responsibility to let everyone see the inheritance of traditional Chinese culture." In order to accurately convey such cognition to the audience with his body, Xie Suhao spent half a year. In those six months, he sweated, shed tears, and was injured.
During a rehearsal, Xie Suhao was overtired, resulting in severe swelling of his legs, even a high fever of 40 degrees. "During the period of recuperation, I was also very anxious, my legs were always swollen, and I was also carefully practicing my movements and thinking about the character performance while recovering little by little." With 23 years of dancing, Xie Suhao hopes to have a longer opportunity to perform on stage, and he also knows his physical limits very well. "I'm a very passionate dancer and crave excellence. But before I played "Only This Green", I also went through a period of confusion for several years, and I didn't even know if I could continue. When such good two directors stand in front of you, guide you conscientiously and responsibly, tell you what is right, and dedicate themselves to your good, this is too precious, I cherish this work especially, and I will be grateful for a lifetime. ”

But Xie Suhao, who jumped to the age of 27 to meet the first male protagonist dance drama in his life, did not feel that he was a "late bloomer". "I like to be down-to-earth, and this down-to-earth will give me a sense of security on stage and will bring real confidence to me on stage." All of our cast members love their own works very much, and they also hope that the audience can walk into the theater, see the performance of good stage art works, and truly feel the beauty of our traditional Chinese culture. Xie Suhao also reminded teenagers who are just entering the dance field, "We must keep trying, find what we really love, and then step by step, find the real self." ”
