IT House February 11 news, today SpaceX Space Exploration Company held a press conference, at which Musk introduced some of the latest progress of Starship, and also announced a latest promotional video, which simulates the process of starship flight to Mars with animation.
In the 5-minute video, the use of the starship and the whole process of launch are shown in detail. The thrusters will return to Earth after helping the starship lift off, facilitate recovery and reuse, reduce the overall operating costs, and the starships can also be interconnected in space.
The video also shows an exciting Mars base at the end, imagining a large number of starships landing at the same time.
IT House learned that Musk said at the press conference that he hopes that Starship can transport a large number of supplies and build a self-sufficient "Mars City" on Mars. Musk said that the hardships and dangers of the mars journey are a major "selling point" of SpaceX.
On the regulatory front, Musk said SpaceX will build a second Starship launch site in Florida, which has been granted environmental permits, while the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is likely to approve the launch site in Texas in March.
