"I found a strange bird on the side of the road, it is injured, come and rescue it..." At about 2 p.m. on February 8, a citizen in Wuhan's Economic Development Zone called the police for help. After receiving the police, Hu Yanhui, a police officer at the Xuefeng Police Station of the Wuhan Economic Development Zone Public Security Bureau, immediately rushed to the scene.
Hu Yanhui found that the bird was covered with black and brown feathers, and its size was slightly larger than that of an adult rooster, which was very rare. He also noticed that his legs seemed to be injured and he could not walk normally. Hu Yanhui speculated that the bird in front of him was likely to protect the animal, so he immediately compared the picture through his mobile phone and took the initiative to contact the bird rainforest professionals to identify.
After picture comparison and artificial identification, it was determined that this injured strange bird was scientifically named "cannabis flounder (jiān)", which belonged to the large heron, wading bird waterbird, and was listed by the State Forestry Administration in the "List of Beneficial Terrestrial Wild Animals Protected by the State or with Important Economic and Scientific Research Value" in 2000, and was a national "three haves" protected animal.
Subsequently, Hu Yanhui properly placed the bird in the police station. At about 3 p.m. on the same day, the staff of Wuhan Bird Whispering Forest came to the police station and picked up the injured "jiān" and prepared to treat it professionally.
It is reported that the "three haves" protected animals, that is, terrestrial wild animals with important ecological, scientific and social values protected by the state. The police of Wuhan Economic Development Zone remind the general public: If you find that a rare animal of a rare breed is injured, do not deal with it without authorization, please contact the police or the relevant animal protection department.
