The Xianghai Bridge, which is planned to be completed and opened to traffic this year, entered the construction sprint stage after the festival, and the main channel bridge of the Grinding Knife Gate is intensively promoting the pouring of hanging beams and the production of prefabricated beams, and the scene is a hot construction scene. It is expected that in the first half of this year, the Xianghai Bridge will achieve full penetration. After the opening of the traffic, it takes about 15 minutes from Xiangzhou to Doumenhu Xin road.
Most of the bridge sections have been penetrated
The progress of the construction of the Xianghai Bridge has been attracting much attention. The special newspaper Jun learned from Zhuhai Xianghai Bridge Co., Ltd. that most of the bridge sections of the project have been completed. The main channel bridge of the grinding knife gate, which is being promoted, is the controlling node of the project. When the main channel bridge was successfully closed, it marked the completion of the entire project.
The main channel bridge, which is about 500 meters long, goes all the way west from near the Zhongzhu Lianwei levee in Tanzhou, Zhongshan, and flies over the Modaomen waterway. At present, the construction of all the substructures of the bridge, such as the pier columns and cover beams of the main channel bridge, has been completed, and the pouring operation of the upper suspension pouring beam is underway.
The builders stuck to their posts during the Spring Festival holiday
On February 9, the spring was cold, and the special newspaper Jun followed the builders to climb the upper working surface of the bridge more than 40 meters above the ground, and the scene was busy. The reinforcement was bundled in an orderly manner in preparation for the concrete pouring operation. There are more than 30 builders on the working surface above each pier column, and it is they who complete the lashing, molding, pouring step by step... Over and over again, the overhang beam slowly extends from the top of the pier to both sides, and finally forms the coherent main body of the bridge deck together with the prefabricated beams that are being produced.
In order to allow the public to enjoy the convenience brought by the completion and opening of the Xianghai Bridge as soon as possible, the builders stuck to their posts during the Spring Festival holiday, and entered the construction climax after the festival.
It is understood that in each section of the Xianghai Bridge project, in addition to the main channel bridge of the Grinding Knife Gate that has not yet been penetrated and individual pile foundations are still to be constructed, the other parts that have been penetrated are preparing for the installation of asphalt paving and follow-up mechanical and electrical facilities. According to the construction period, it is expected that the project can be fully completed in the first half of this year, and the conditions for opening to traffic will be available after the follow-up completion.
Xianghai Bridge Project
The Xianghai Bridge project is divided into main lines and branch lines, with a total of 29.8 kilometers. Among them, the west of the Zhaobei Interchange interchange in Xiangzhou District to Huxin Road in Doumen District is the main line of the Xianghai Bridge, with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. After opening to traffic, it takes only about 15 minutes from Xiangzhou to Doumen.

The Western Extension Line is currently partially under construction, and in the future, it will cross Huxin Road in the form of an viaduct to guide traffic into Shuanghu Road. The main line and branch line of the Xianghai Bridge are also connected with the Western Coastal Expressway, the Guangzhou-Zhuhai West Line Expressway, the Jiangzhu Expressway and the Tanzhou Municipal Road in the form of interchange ramps, which will not only greatly facilitate the travel of citizens to and from the eastern and western districts of Zhuhai, but also become a new fast channel to enter and exit the urban area, reducing the traffic pressure including G105 National Highway.
