Both the 2025 Rocket 3 Storm GT and R have 132.4 kW of power, an increase of 11.18 kW over the previous version, and a peak torque of 230 Nm, the same as the previous version, but with 2.03 Nm more torque. The 47mm Showa inverted fork has fully adjustable damping and a fixed spring preload with 12cm of travel. The rear wheels travel 1.25cm less than the front wheels, and the Showa shock with piggyback tank has remote spring preload adjustment.

While the 2025 Triumph Rocket 3 Storm GT isn't lightweight, it's comfortable to ride and doesn't feel bulky or cumbersome. The widest part is the exhaust manifold, which is located on the inside of the right leg and can get a little hot when parked. The GT sits at just under 76 centimeters, which is a full 2.5 centimeters lower than the R. In addition, the GT's seat cushion is slightly more sculpted than the R model and comes with an adjustable passenger backrest.

The TFT dashboard for the three-point zone is easy to read and has a variety of settings and display options to satisfy riders who prefer simple gauges and want to get all the data. Both models use Metzeler Cruisetec tires, with 17-size tires for the 150-inch front wheel and 16-size tires for the huge 250-inch rear wheel. The new alloy wheels are around 0.45 kg lighter than the previous ones to reduce unsprung mass and spin mass.

Despite the wide tires, the handling is still precise, requiring only slight handling force when cruising. Both cars use the same aluminum alloy frame with a muscular single swingarm. The Rocket 3 Storm series models share the same chassis geometry, 27.9 degrees of fork inclination, 13.5 cm of front wheel traction, and 167.6 cm wheelbase.

Triumph features Brembo's Stylema M4.30 calipers with 320mm front disc brake rotors, while Brembo M4.32 300mm radial monobloc calipers at the rear. For a 240mm-wide rear tyre, that's already a very powerful rear brake. The braking operation is always smooth and powerful, and the initial braking force and braking feel very good throughout the stroke. As part of the upgrade, the 2025 Triumph Rocket 3 Storm GT and R now boast more advanced electronics, such as a six-axis IMU for cornering ABS and traction control. There are four riding modes to choose from, including Sport, Road, Rain, and Custom. Switching between them changes the level of throttle response and traction control.

In addition to performance, the 2025 Triumph Rocket 3 Storm series models boast modern comforts. All models will come with keyless ignition and steering locks, USB-A charging ports under the seats, and a 12-volt outlet at the top of the dashboard behind the windshield. The windshield of the GT model is slightly wider and higher than that of the R model. With Bluetooth integration compatible with Sena headphones, you can access turn-by-step navigation using the My Triumph app. Other features worth mentioning include hill hold (very useful), cruise control (optional on the R) and tyre pressure monitoring – all of which are very useful. A quick shifter is optional; Unfortunately, neither the GT nor the R I test-drove came with this feature.
