The art of choreography, like other forms of expression, has the most basic rules of formal aesthetics.
The law of formal beauty and aesthetic concepts are two different categories, the former with the characteristics of universality, inevitability and eternity, while the latter is constantly developing and changing with objective conditions, such as different eras, nationalities, regions, etc. But the most basic law of formal aesthetics exists as a "universal" objective law.
The visual flow of orchestration and design is a kind of "spatial movement", which is the process of the line of sight moving along a certain trajectory in space with each visual element. Through the reasonable arrangement of the design, the use of visual movement law, arrange the viewer's line of sight for orderly viewing, so that the viewer can obtain a clear, rapid and smooth information acceptance process.
This law of visual motion we call it the "law of visual flow form". It can be found that many experienced designers will pay great attention to this spatial movement throughout the layout.
One-way visual process. The one-way visual process is the visual flow of each visual element in one direction such as horizontal, vertical and oblique.
Curved visual flow. The curve visual flow is the visual flow of each visual element that changes with the arc or the whirling line and produces a change of motion.
Iterative visual process. The repetitive visual process is repeated in the same or similar sequence, doing regular, orderly, rhythmic successive movements. The repeated visual process is repeatedly arranged in the same or similar sequence, forming the continuity, reproducibility and unity of the image, and can give people a sense of stability, neatness, order and unity of law.
Guide the visual process. Through the arrangement of purposeful visual elements, the reader is actively guided to move in one direction, so as to connect the layouts and form an organic whole.
● Cross-shaped visual flow, vertical and horizontal lines are the most common cross-composition, there are also forms of oblique crossover. The main focus of its line of sight is on the intersection of the crosses, which can play the maximum role of information transmission.
●The emission visual process uses text or dots, lines and other images as line of sight guidance, and concentrates a variety of conditions on a main eye point, which can produce a variety of unified comprehensive visual effects.
● Freely guide the visual process, through specific graphic processing, consciously strengthen the guiding role of vision, and achieve the established design purpose.
Dissipates visual processes. The dissipative visual flow refers to the arrangement of the freely dispersed state between the diagram and the text on the layout. This arrangement breaks with the conventional order and law to emphasize sensibility, arbitrariness and freedom. Although it is almost "scattered and disorderly", "orderly" is replaced by "disorder", and "perfect" is replaced by "destruction", in essence, the composition of points, lines, surfaces and color blocks, as well as the structure between the visual elements, are extremely exquisite.
The juxtaposition and equilibrium of two identical forms is actually the simplest form of symmetry. Symmetry is divided into two types: one is an equilibrium of equal quantity; the other is a varied equilibrium. Although the shape, number, and position of visual elements are not equal, the entire visual effect is symmetrical and balanced. Symmetry and equilibrium have a central axis symmetry and horizontal line symmetry in form, which are characterized by stability, solemnity, neatness, order, stability and composure.
Rhythm refers to the continuous arrangement of repetition according to a certain law and order to form a rhythmic form. It has both equidistant continuity, but also gradually larger, tapered, gradually long, gradually shorter, gradually higher, gradually lower, gradually bright, gradually dark, etc. The arrangement of prosody is not a simple repeated arrangement, but a rhythm more advanced than the rhythm, which emphasizes the undulating, smooth and harmonious of the linear shape on the basis of rhythm, and achieves a strong rhythmic charm.
Proportion refers to the whole and part of a shape, and a ratio relationship between parts and parts. The visual elements of the layout, and the proportional relationship between them and the background, are one of the means of forming a well-designed personality trait. Proportions often have equal difference ratios, equal ratios, golden ratios, etc. In order to pursue a specific proportional relationship in the layout, we often use the method of segmentation to achieve order, clarity, hierarchy and other effects.
Virtual reality and blank space refer to the interdependence of space and form, and the fusion of positive and negative shapes. Traditional aesthetics also have the saying "counting white and keeping black". We arrange and design visual elements through methods such as denseness and blank space, and we can achieve an interesting relationship between virtual lining and virtual reality.
