Poll results show that 78 percent of respondents are concerned that the discord of American democracy will affect Canada's economy and security; 47 percent say the United States is moving toward an authoritarian state; and 68 percent believe that American democracy cannot survive the emergence of another "Trump-style" president.
Reuters said that Trump had publicly supported the protesters led by truck drivers on the 6th, and called Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau a "far-left lunatic" (far-left lunatic). Ottawa police also said there were U.S. forces providing funding and other support to protesters in Canada.
