The domestic movies we have seen over the years Respondents believe that war comedies have made the most progress

In recent years, domestic films have repeatedly achieved good results at the box office, and several high-grossing films of more than 5 billion yuan have appeared, showing the strong momentum of domestic films. For domestic movies, what else do you expect? A few days ago, a survey of 1511 respondents published by the China Youth Daily Social Survey Center and the Questionnaire Network (wenjuan.com) showed that for domestic films, 59.5% of the respondents believe that they should be informal and enrich the film genre.

Fan Zhihang (pseudonym), who lives in Changsha, feels that the average level of domestic films has improved in recent years, the most obvious is that everyone's resistance to bad films has become more resolute, "Before some movies can win a lot of box office by actors and publicity, but now word of mouth is more important, if the evaluation is not good, even if the lineup is strong, the movie box office will be greatly affected." Fan Zhihang feels that in different types of domestic films, war films have made great progress, "like this year's "Chosin Lake Water Gate Bridge", the shooting is quite good, both grand battle scenes, but also gripping story core, very infectious."

After 95, Wang Xiaoning (pseudonym) feels that the biggest progress in recent years is domestic animation films, there have been many masterpieces, shaping a lot of classic character images, "from the great sage to the white snake, and then to Nezha, almost every year domestic animation can bring us surprises, and in the production is more exquisite, the expression of the story has also been greatly improved, no longer only for children's audiences, causing more people's emotional resonance."

The survey shows that for the domestic film genre that has made great progress in recent years, 48.6% of the respondents think that it is a war film, 45.9% of the respondents think it is a comedy, 38.1% of the respondents say that it is a science fiction film, and 36.0% of the respondents think it is an animation film. Others include feature films (24.1%), romance films (20.2%), historical films (24.4%), action movies (19.8%), police films (15.1%), horror films (5.2%), etc.

Wang Xiaoning feels that although domestic films have repeatedly achieved good results at the box office, compared with foreign blockbusters, there are still certain deficiencies, especially the lack of series, "like many foreign films have sequels, prequels, enriching the story system, there is linkage between each other, can continue to attract people to watch, this domestic films are obviously insufficient, even if there are sequels, but the reputation is difficult to maintain, need more filmmakers to invest in the creation, the formation of their own brand."

The survey shows that for the expectations of domestic films, 59.5% of the respondents believe that they should be informal, enrich the film genre, 54.4% of the respondents feel that they should be based on the locality and tell Chinese stories well, 53.0% of the respondents said that they should continue to innovate and create featured IP, 52.4% of the respondents look forward to strengthening script creation to ensure that the story is complete and rigorous, and 36.3% of the respondents expect to improve the special effects technology and make the picture more exquisite and shocking.

Zhang Ming (pseudonym) after the 90s usually likes to watch movies, mostly literary and art films and feature films. He feels that domestic films have made great progress in special effects in recent years, so there have been many good works in war movies, science fiction movies, and animation movies, especially the picture effects are more realistic and more refined, bringing a good viewing experience to the audience. But Zhang Ming feels that domestic films should also be further strengthened in creation, especially in script creation, "Now some movies lack innovation, many plots do not need to see how to act, fell into the routine, I hope to open up more brains in creation, present more and more wonderful stories."

Among the respondents in this survey, 26.6% were post-00s, 39.8% were post-90s, 26.5% were post-80s, and 5.6% were post-70s. 31.0% came from first-tier cities, 38.3% from second-tier cities, 20.3% from third- and fourth-tier cities, 7.4% from county or urban areas, and 3.0% from rural areas.
