Tramway news: Recently, BYD delivered the first K6 pure electric bus to National Transport Cooperation (hereinafter referred to as NTC), the largest local state-run public transport operator, in Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Mauritius Minister of Transport Alan Gano and NTC General Manager Rao Ramah attended the launch ceremony and delivered speeches. This is the first pure electric bus operated by NTC and the first BYD K6 pure electric bus put into operation in Mauritius.

The BYD K6 pure electric bus delivered this time will be put into operation as a commuter bus in the city, mainly providing transportation services between subway stations for people and tourists taking the subway, and providing new choices for tourists and citizens to travel green.

Mauritius, the "Garden of Eden on Earth", is an island-type country with many volcanoes and mountains, located in East Africa. In order to be closer to the actual operational needs, the K6 pure electric bus integrates by-ONE's self-developed integrated drive axle assembly, and is equipped with BYD power battery and six-in-one high-voltage electronic control integrated technology, which is designed for the accurate adjustment of the road conditions of the islands in Mauritius.

The K6, a 20-seat pure electric bus, can travel up to 225 kilometers on a single charge, and the vehicle can also be recharged through a solar photovoltaic power station. The bus is equipped with an IC card reading system, DVD monitor, multiple car speakers and other equipment. In addition, the K6 electric bus is equipped with high-back seats with ergonomic structure, on-board safety surveillance cameras, USB charging and display screens.

Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth said the operation of pure electric buses is an important milestone in the development of public transport in Mauritius, which he believes will promote the development of a more modern, safe and environmentally friendly transport system.
