Recently, some information about the second electric vehicle of the hyundai IONIQ series, the IONIQ 6, was exposed, including the size and power information of the new car. Hyundai motor plans to launch the IONIQ 6 in June and start production in July.
The new car has a length of 4855mm, a height of 1495mm, a width of 1880mm and a wheelbase of 2950mm. The overall body size is basically the same as the Sonata, but the length is slightly shorter, while the wheelbase is slightly longer.
In addition, we can see from the data map that the renderings are different from the shape in the real car spy photos, and the rear overhang of the spy photos is significantly longer, which also confirms the previous reports. The IONIQ 6 was delayed by about three months from the original launch and mass production time (March/April 2022) due to the adjustment of the front and rear bar shapes of the new car for better aerodynamics, which increased the mileage of the new car and increased the length of the car by 20 mm.
The IONIQ 6 will also feature a global electric modular platform known as the E-GMP, which will feature a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with a maximum power of 308 horsepower. In addition, the new car will be equipped with a battery of 77.4 kWh and a range of 515 km.
