Laiyuan is located at the intersection of Taihang Mountain, Yanshan Mountain and Hengshan Mountain, known as "Liangcheng" and "Spring City". There are scenic spots such as Baishi Mountain, Global Geopark, And Jumayuan National Urban Wetland Park, which is a famous tourist city in northern China.

On the same day, Baoding citizen Yang Heyuan once again accompanied his 8-year-old daughter to Laiyuan Seven Mountains Ski Resort for skiing. According to Zhao Yong, chairman of Laiyuan Seven Mountains Ski Tourism Resort, the resort's operating projects include Laiyuan National Ski Jumping Training and Scientific Research Base and Laiyuan Seven Mountains Ski Resort with 16 ski tracks and a ski area of 700,000 square meters. At present, the ski resort receives more than 2,000 ski enthusiasts every day.

Zhao Yong said that laiyuan national ski jumping training and scientific research base has the world's largest ski jumping group and the world's largest and most complete ski jumping wind tunnel laboratory, which can help athletes in the stage of suspension and skiing, take-off, leaping and other stages of simulation training. On February 1 this year, athletes and related staff of the ski jumping national training team and the Nordic biathlon team of China who completed the training task at the base set off for the Winter Olympics.
Speaking of the future, Zhao Yong is very optimistic about the local ice and snow sports industry, and plans to build the second phase of the ski resort in 2023, when the snowmaking area will reach 1.4 million to 1.5 million square meters, and plans to build athlete apartments with a reception capacity of about 700 people to undertake international and domestic ice and snow sports events.
On February 3, the torch of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games was passed at the Chongli Fulong Ski Resort in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, and Wang Yan, the governor of Laiyuan County, and Lu Wei, a hero of the national heroes and villagers of Shancang Village in Wang'an Town, Laiyuan County, participated in the relay activities as one of the torchbearers.
