Continuing the eclectic stylistic aesthetic of Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele, Gucci's 2022 Valentine's Day Special invites Los Angeles visual artist Ariana Papademetropoulos to present A Love Story, a limited-edition magazine full of retro romance. The limited edition magazine chronicles in the form of a novella about a genie played by Ariana who finds true love under the guidance of a guardian played by female artist Isabelle Albuquerque. Through a unique creative narrative, the elf's journey to find love implies that love will eventually break all difficulties and obstacles.

Artist Ariana Papademetropoulos is good at exploring the emotional connections created by different spaces, changing multiple perspectives and giving the viewer the illusion of being in parallel time and space. In this creation, through his carefully crafted scenery and installation, he depicts a fantastic surreal scene, creating a real but elusive dream. With photographer Alexander-Cabral's style shots, the limited edition magazine brings this love fable to life in the surreal pop style of the '60s.
The Gucci 2022 Valentine's Day Special Series, uniquely designed by Michelle, sets off the atmosphere of romantic stories, and the narrative of love becomes a unique print, becoming the romantic theme in the special series, not only becoming the eye-catching embellishment of the new three-dimensional heart-shaped chain handbag, but also becoming a romantic secret language created by the vintage popcorn bucket inspired by the chain handbags, Ace series sneakers, slippers, etc.; while the Paddock series handbags of different sizes echo the romantic pink leather background with strawberry and cherry prints. Synopsis of "Love Story" presented by Gucci:
In a distant land, inhabited by a beautiful elf and a gentle giant, they live happily together. Elf mini-miniatures are small and precious, giants are strong and majestic but very gentle; elves like to lie in the ears of giants to tell him stories, and also like to let him put themselves in their wallets to go out for a ride; giants will blow huge bubbles to make elves happy, and also love to observe the world with her mini glasses. However, one day, the elf felt extremely painful and desperate, and she hoped to find "the same kind" to love, so she said goodbye to the giant. The elf embarks on a journey to find the villain kingdom, believing that this is her destination.
She searched for love and blessing and met many beautifully dressed "kinds". She came to the king and asked for marriage. And just as she was about to say "I do," the gentle giant came back to her mind. She plucked up her courage and flew back to the giant with all her strength, and the two kissed passionately. When lips touch each other, like magic, the elves grow up, while the giants shrink until they look at each other and promise eternal love.
