Go all out to design and develop Winter Olympic clothing
On May 8, 2020, the China Fashion Designers Association officially released the invitation to the beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games uniform equipment visual design solicitation. The organizing committee got in touch with Yantai Haixiang through the Beijing Institute of Fashion, sent people to the company twice to inspect and exchange, and entrusted them to participate in the clothing design of the Winter Olympics. Yantai Haixiang actively participated in the design and development, and established a winter Olympics clothing design and development and production team. In order to fully guarantee the design, development and production of uniforms for the Winter Olympic Games, they repeatedly communicated with foreign customers, pushed off millions of dollars in orders, and went all out to invest in design and development. During the period, Wang Yongjin, dean of the School of Fashion Art and Engineering of Beijing Institute of Fashion, Liu Liu, designer, Professor Wu Hong, special technical guidance of the Organizing Committee of the Winter Olympics and vice chairman of the China Fashion Designers Association, and other experts came to Yantai several times for on-site technical guidance.

The Beijing Winter Olympics will integrate the regional Great Wall culture, the Time Dimension Spring Festival culture and the centennial Winter Olympic elements to create a rich cultural heritage. The great wall graphic in the Beijing-Zhang Division is also an important part of the core graphics of the Winter Olympics. Yantai Haixiang team highlighted these characteristics of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, taking the tang Dynasty poet Wang Zun's two poems in "Yong Great Wall" "Although the clouds are in the clouds, competing for the yao steps three feet high", expressing the spiritual strength of benevolence and morality is better than the powerful force, implying that the noble character and indomitable sports spirit of the Olympic athletes are far more important than winning the ranking, and the design is carried out with the theme of "Ten Thousand Miles and the Same Wind".
In terms of design colors, according to the color system of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games and the Winter Paralympic Games, the main colors of Tianji blue, Xiaguang red and Great Wall gray are selected, with ink colors, the uniform equipment of the staff is selected to symbolize pure ice and snow, the future and dreams are selected, the uniform equipment of technical officials is selected as the main color of the Great Wall, which symbolizes calmness and justice, and the uniform equipment of volunteers is selected to reflect the passion of sports and the red tone of the festive atmosphere. In terms of design graphics, with the lines full of movement and power as the main graphics, the mountain shape and the Great Wall form and the snowflake figure of the Jingzhang Division are supplemented, showing the boundlessness of the rivers and mountains, the magnificent sense of connection with the clouds, and also embodies the dynamic and power, reflecting the traditional Chinese idea of "Tao fa nature, heaven and man unity".
The "Ten Thousand Miles and One Wind" scheme is full of Chinese romance and condenses the wisdom of Yantai industrial design. In June 2020, the scheme entered the top ten of the world's 600 design schemes. On September 29, 2020, the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee organized a review meeting of ten into five, and the Yantai Haixiang R&D team made a comprehensive interactive display of the clothing theme concept, cultural connotation, fabric layout, and functional characteristics through the dynamic display of model dress, on-site statement and other links. The "Ten Thousand Miles with the Wind" program entered the top five. On November 27, 2020, the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee organized the third review meeting, and finally the Haixiang plan and sample clothes won the silver medal for their novel appearance, outstanding design and perfect function, and were awarded the "Contribution Award" by the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee and the China Fashion Designers Association.
In the design, development and production, Yantai Haixiang put aside all economic interests, made sample clothes at any cost, and finally achieved excellent results. Based on the many award-winning works, the Olympic Organizing Committee gathered the strengths of all the families and released the final garment plan, which adopted many creative inspirations and functional material designs in Haixiang's "Ten Thousand Miles and The Same Wind" plan.
