Dubai Sheikh Mohammed announced on Thursday (2.3) that the Dubai Museum of the Future will open to the public on 22 February, praising the Museum of the Future as the most beautiful building on earth.

The attraction has long been hailed as an architectural marvel and has won global acclaim, with National Geographic compiling a list of museums last July that was named one of the 14 most beautiful museums on earth, with others on the list including the Shanghai Astronomical Museum in China.
Covering an area of 30,000 square meters and a seven-storey structure measuring 77m, the Dubai Museum of the Future will be a research center with laboratories and classrooms where visitors can experience a variety of new technologies, including virtual reality, big data and artificial intelligence.
The museum's stainless steel façade exceeds 17,000 square meters, for which Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej designed 14,000 square meters of Arabic calligraphy.
The stainless steel façade consists of 1,024 sheets made entirely of robots, a first in the Middle East.
A total of two bridges connect to the Museum of the Future, the first extending to the Jumeirah Emirates Tower with a length of 69m and the second bridge with a length of 212m connecting to the Emirates Tower MRT Station.
The Dubai Museum of the Future will be powered by solar energy, with 80 species of plants growing in the surrounding park and equipped with a state-of-the-art automatic irrigation system.
