"The Hero Who Never Left: Bethune" extends to reading

Today is the 131st anniversary of the birth of dr. Norman Bethune, a well-known Canadian friend, and the Foreign Language Broadcast of Beijing Radio and Television Station, the Beijing Municipal People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China Bethune Spiritual Research Association grandly launched a special program "Hero Who Never Left - Bethune". At the important moment of celebrating the centenary of the Communist Party of China, when the whole party concentrated on the study and education of party history, by reviewing the touching deeds of Dr. Bethune who fought side by side with the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people until he sacrificed his precious life, he better continued the bethune spirit and inherited the red gene.

Coordinated by the Beijing Municipal People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China Bethune Spirit Research Association, the reporters of Beijing Foreign Language Broadcasting successively interviewed Ma Guoqing, executive vice president of the China Bethune Spirit Research Association, Dai Jianjun, second-level inspector of the Beijing Municipal People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, John Ducas, a Canadian cardiologist and president of the Canadian Bethune Association, Stephen Shabel, a member of the Canada-China Friendship Association, Zhang Yesheng, a student of Dr. Bethune, former vice president of the General Hospital of the Beijing Military Region, and "Bethune-style good doctor." The honorary title winners are Jia Liqun, honorary director of the Department of Ultrasound of Beijing Children's Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, and Xue Xiaoyan, director of the Department of Critical Care Medicine of Aerospace Center Hospital. Let us follow in the footsteps of reporters and approach this hero who has never been far away.
