Crossing the meadow and climbing the snowy mountains, the young Peng Qingyun was not afraid of difficulties. On the Long March, many comrades-in-arms were in trouble. After graduation, he was assigned to work in the 359th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army, and as the political commissar of the 719th Regiment, he performed well in the military. In September 1937, during the Battle of Pingxingguan, he was supported by the army. At that time, Peng Qingyun led his troops to eliminate the opponent who tried to escape, and he attacked decisively, with a tough style, and won everyone's reputation.
In October 1938, a Japanese brigade entered North China. Japanese Lieutenant General Hiroshi Tokioka personally led the team, and more than 10,000 Japanese troops directly attacked the base area of our Eighth Route Army. Seeing the enemy's step-by-step attack, our army decided to counterattack at once, and under the command of the headquarters, the various regiments took part in the battle one after another. In fact, the Japanese army did not expect that the backwardly equipped Eighth Route Army would dare to resist. Tokioka Took the Men deep into the army alone, and he lost contact with the follow-up troops.
Peng Qingyun, who was stationed in Shanxi, saw the opportunity, and before he could ask his superiors, he directly led the commando team to rush to kill them. With the support of nearby friendly forces, Tsuneoka Washu was suddenly surrounded. The Japanese army carried heavy weapons, and the enemy resisted step by step, stubbornly resisting. In the bombardment of the cannon, a large number of soldiers fell in a pool of blood. Peng Qingyun was completely angry, and took out all the family foundations, and the 719 Regiment played a mighty wind, and Peng Qingyun was a pioneer. On the front line, he found the Japanese officer Tokioka Kanji commanding the resistance, and he picked up a three-eight large cover and killed Tokioka Kanji at once.
In this way, we took the lead in defeating the enemy and killing a Japanese lieutenant general, and seeing this, the remaining Japanese troops fled one after another. Peng Qingyun took advantage of the situation to pursue, who expected that his right arm was hit by a Japanese bullet. The elbow joint of his right arm was directly pierced, the blood kept flowing, and later his arm was swollen like a bucket, and the warriors risked death to save him, and Peng Qingyun was unconscious. After that, the troops rushed him to a field hospital. Who knows, Dr. Bethune went to the front line again, and when he found Dr. Bethune, Peng Qingyun's arm was no longer saved.

In 1946, he was transferred to the northeast, and after joining Shino, he immediately drew the team together and grew rapidly. During the Battle of Siping, he made great contributions, and the 160th Division under his command took the lead in breaking through the city gates, and they captured the city towers and forced the enemy to surrender.
In 1948, he took part in the Battle of Pingjin. Under his onslaught, Fu Zuoyi's two generals were defeated, which also accelerated Fu Zuoyi's transformation. After the founding of New China, Peng Qingyun took part in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. In the counter-offensive stage of the second and third stages, Peng Qingyun made outstanding contributions, and he was also praised by Mr. Peng. In 1955, Peng Qingyun was awarded the rank of major general by the Central Committee.
