The reporter noted that in recent years, Chengdu attaches great importance to the development and promotion and application of new energy vehicles, and in 2021, Chengdu's new energy vehicles have maintained a booming development situation of production and sales: the output of new energy vehicles increased by 112.2%, and the retail sales of new energy vehicles increased by 122.1%. At more than 9 p.m. on January 29, the reporter came to the Jintang service area of the Chengba Expressway (in the direction of Bazhong). The reporter saw four charging piles lined up, and a new energy vehicle was being charged. "It took half an hour to charge and it was fully charged immediately." Ms. Xing, a citizen, told reporters that last year, her family bought a pure electric car, which saved a lot compared with fuel vehicles. But when I returned to my hometown in Bazhong during the National Day holiday, I found that it was too difficult for electric vehicles to walk long distances. At that time, there were only 2 service areas on the Chengba Expressway with charging piles, and because it was a slow charging pile, it took 6 to 8 hours to fill. It's a lot of effort to recharge along the way. By 2025, more than 160,000 charging piles will be built in the city

The reporter noted that the charging pile in the service area was built by Shudao New Energy Company. Since August last year, Shudao New Energy Company has cooperated with the Sichuan Branch of the State Grid and local power companies to complete the construction of 80 charging stations in four months. By the Spring Festival of 2022, Shudao New Energy Company will put into operation 149 charging stations in the service area, with an average spacing of 60 kilometers, a maximum spacing of 200 kilometers, and a minimum spacing of 27 kilometers, covering 20 cities and prefectures in the province, basically achieving full coverage of the main road sections, and weaving a charging network centered on Chengdu, from south to north, from east to west throughout Sichuan. It is particularly noteworthy that 10 green charging lines of expressways have been erected between Sichuan and Chongqing to help the construction and development of the twin-city economic circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing area. In the inter-provincial area, the four directions of Sichuan-Chongqing, Sichuan-Shaanxi, Sichuanqian and Sichuan-Yunnan have been opened, and 16 charging channels out of Sichuan have been opened to accelerate the integration of inter-provincial green transportation.

Previously, the "Chengdu City Implementation of Clean Energy Substitution to Accelerate the Adjustment of Energy Consumption Structure Work Plan (2021-2025)" issued by Chengdu City clearly pointed out: Chengdu encourages social capital to participate in the construction of charging (replacing) power stations (piles), provides public services, standardizes the implementation of 20% of the supporting construction of charging facilities in public parking lots, and vigorously promotes the implementation of the "unified construction and unified management" model in residential communities to build personal charging piles. By the end of 2021, Chengdu will have built a total of 1,200 charging (replacement) power stations and 58,000 charging piles; by 2025, Chengdu will have built a total of 3,000 charging (replacement) power stations and more than 160,000 charging piles.
