In addition, some of the cases are family members of cold storage workers in the southwest suburbs.

Beijing Southwest Suburb Cold Storage is located in the South Third Ring Road, Fengtai District, Beijing, and is operated and managed by Beijing Southwest Suburbs Food Refrigeration Co., Ltd. According to the enterprise investigation information, Beijing Southwest Suburbs Food Freezing Co., Ltd. was established on May 30, 1983, 100% controlled by Beijing Shounong Food Group Co., Ltd., and its business scope includes: selling bulk food and pre-packaged food sales; food refrigeration; purchasing and selling packaged food, livestock and poultry meat, aquatic products; selling edible agricultural products, poultry eggs, grain, fresh vegetables, fresh fruits; refrigerated and insulated goods transportation.

At the beginning of its establishment, it was rated as a national garden-style factory, and tens of thousands of tons of frozen pork were sent to the tables of the people in Beijing through here every year, so the cold storage in the southwest suburbs was also known as the "big refrigerator of the people of the capital".

For this epidemic, the source of the official notification is the illegal storage of imported frozen seafood. Recently, the Beijing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection set up an investigation team to carry out an accountability investigation into the spread of the epidemic in the import cold chain. After investigation, the operation and supervision of the regulatory units are not in place, and there are regulatory loopholes, so many people in the relevant institutions and regulatory departments are held accountable.

In fact, many places such as Tianjin, Dalian, and Qingdao have previously caused the epidemic to spread due to cold chain problems. On January 20, at the 270th press conference on the prevention and control of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic in Beijing, Lang Zhiqiang, director of food safety of the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, said that there are currently about 33,700 people in Beijing who are employed in imported cold chain food, and 134,200 people have been tested for nucleic acid testing of imported cold chain food practitioners and co-residents since this year.

Lang Zhiqiang said that Beijing will normalize nucleic acid testing for crypto practitioners and co-residents, and beijing imported cold chain food practitioners will be adjusted from holding a 7-day negative nucleic acid test certificate to holding a 3-day negative nucleic acid certificate before they can take up their posts. The frequency of nucleic acid testing for co-residents of imported cold chain practitioners has been adjusted from once every 30 days to once every 15 days.

At present, the relevant departments are conducting inspections of cold chain operating enterprises. On January 23, Bo Lan, deputy governor of the Fengtai District People's Government of Beijing, said at the 273rd press conference on the prevention and control of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic in Beijing that 1856 cold chain food business enterprises and 1760 cold storage business entities in the whole region were comprehensively investigated, the information accounts of relevant employees in the cold chain were sorted out, the whole chain of cold chain goods was quickly carried out, the epidemic-related goods were sealed on the spot, the sold goods were thoroughly investigated, the traceability of 7033 single goods was completed, and the inventory of 17 downstream merchants was removed from the shelves and sealed.
